Cebek Linear Power Supply Educational Project

The EDU series of educational modules from Cebek offer the student the chance to experiment, analyse and learn the basic knowledge of the chosen electronic theme. Their function is to complement the work of the teacher as well as to allow the experimentation of a theoretical theme evocated by the teacher. The comprehensive manual supplied with each module gives detailed information about each experiment and circuit diagrams. Guidance notes for the teacher are provided including operating characteristics, formulas and principles for each component used in the experiments.

The Cebek EDU-009 is a mini-laboratory with 3 experiments. It allows you to experiment with short-circuit power supplies, based on voltage regulators, with fix, variable, negative output, etc.

Experiment 1. Power supply definition, parts dividing it and description of different elements.

Experiment 2. 5V DC Power supply based on LM7805 regulator. Dropout voltage, ripple voltage and voltage after the regulator.

Experiment 3. 9V DC Power supply based on the LM7809 regulator. Comparison regarding the previous one, ripple voltage.

Experiment 4. Variable Power supply based on the LM317 regulator, Filter capacitors function and design of the voltage adjustment.
